Welcome to the neighborhood. Make yourself at home.

In the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area we have over 100 suburbs with more being developed every year. We are growing and growing fast. And we know that there’s a lot that goes into the booming economy here in North Texas – some good (like the new highways) and some not so good (like the pothole your tires hit while highways are being built or expanded). But as a Texpert in these parts for 175 years and counting we can lay out some of the basics every new North Texan local should know so that  you feel like you’re right at home like a local.

September is corny dog season. The state fair of Texas at Fair Park is in our backyard. Once known for one of college football’s main events the old site of the Cotton Bowl is home to millions of visitors from across Texas blue ribbon livestock carnival rides and of course the iconic fair fixins.

Friday nights are lit – and so are Saturdays and Sundays. In the bright glow of the stadium floodlights we proudly cheer on our hometown high school teams plus our five local colleges and the Dallas Cowboys as they look to find a place in the playoffs.
