The votes are in! Dallas-based Taco Bueno has just been named the top Mexican restaurant in the country! They were up against strong competition like Chipotle Rubio’s Fresh and Qdoba. Others competing for the category (in order of their ranking top to bottom) included El Pollo Loco Moe’s Southwest Grill Del Taco Baja Fresh Taco John’s Taco Cabana and Taco Bell.
The study done by Market Force Information also looked at consumer purchase habits. They saw a significant increase of customers ordering food via a phone/tablet app or at a kiosk over the past year. 45% of those polled had downloaded a Mexican food chain’s app. Such apps allow you to order and pay for your food before arriving at the restaurant – your food in ready when you arrive!
The Taco Bueno chain is fairly small with less than 200 locations nationwide. Their first location was in Abilene Texas back in 1967. Forty years later they began franchising and now are seen in Texas Arkansas Colorado Kansas Louisiana Missouri and Oklahoma. Some Taco Bueno fan favorites include the Beef Muchaco® MexiDips & Chips® and Cheesecake Chimichangas.
